ZOOM Meeting Tutorial

Joining a Zoom meeting is easy, even if technology isn’t your thing. Just follow the steps below, and you’ll be ready to join us for our RPS Virtual Field Days in no time!

Step 1: Sign Up (Optional)

You don’t need a Zoom account to join a meeting, but signing up makes it easier for next time.

  1. Go to zoom.us/signup.
  2. Enter your email address and create a password.
  3. Follow the instructions in the email Zoom sends you.

Step 2: Download Zoom

Choose the device you’ll use:

💻 On a computer:

Download Zoom for Computer

📱 On a smartphone or tablet:

Download Zoom from the App Store (Apple)

Download Zoom from Google Play (Android)

Step 3: Join the Meeting

  1. Open the Zoom program (on your computer, phone, or tablet).
  2. Click “Join a Meeting.”
  3. Enter the Meeting ID and password we provide you in your email confirmation!
  4. If prompted, click “Join with Video” so we can see your smiling face!
  5. Make sure your sound is on so you can hear and speak.

Helpful Tips

  1. Try joining a few minutes early in case your computer needs extra time.
  2. If something goes wrong, just close Zoom and try again.
