Our Pro Series D pumps are designed for high head, lower volume applications. They may be able to be self-installed, but generally with deep wells we recommend using a local installer who has the equipment to lower the pump/cable/pipe safely. Need more water with under 300ft of head? Pro Series V – Deep Solar Well Pumps

Our Pro Series D systems use hearty 3-Phase Motors and 3.9″ Pump Ends. Our controllers are the best in the world and allow customization and optimization based on sun and season. Easily switch between solar and another 220V backup power source when the sun isn't shining, like a generator or grid power, using the Pro Controller autoswitching feature.

Find out more about all the ways you can use a submersible pump on our install diagram page.

Systems Include:

- Brushless Submersible Motor (3 Phase 220v, 3.9” Diameter)
- 2.2 kW Rated Solar Controller (takes DC Voltage from Solar Panel array +Auto-Switch to run with 220v Grid or Generator when not enough solar)
- Large Float Switch for use as high water tank sensor
- Stainless Steel Pump End (sized to your well and water needs)
- Solar Array in Mono/Poly Aluminum-framed UL Solar Panels
- All connector cables from solar panels to controller
- DC cut-off disconnect switch rated for your array, plug and play with MC4s
- Simplified Wiring Diagrams for easy hookup
- Phone & Email support before and during installation
- 2 Year Comprehensive Warranty

Solar panel mounting is a separate cost, we have easy-to-install DIY Scalable Ground Mounting and Adjustable Top-of-Pole options.

Unlike our line of 3'' Submersible Pumps, like the RPS 200, 400, 800, the surface pump TPP or even our Gridless Sump Pump, the Pro Series is not compatible with batteries.

Everything Went Well

It's great to have water filling my 4 thousand gallon storage tanks after all the work this summer and early fall. Thanks to all there for being a good group to have worked with along the way. I hope you're looking into electric car-charging for future business expansion ideas ...

Working great!

The pump installation finally got done and has been thankfully successful since I was close to running completely out of water in my storage tanks. They drilled for two days before hitting a good stream at 400 feet that they first estimated was 25 gals/ minute, but later revised to 15 gals/ minute. So, it's good clean clear water and rose up to a static level of 130 feet in the finished well, indicating a partial artesian source coming down the hill.I wired the connectors for the pump and their generator, and after a wait of about 5 minutes, everything clinked, and they were able to measure 8 gals/ minute at the wellhead (5 amps at 220 VAC measured at the generator)--success! I've been pumping about 2,000 gallons per day for about 4 days now, and everything looks good. I have 2 kilowatts of power panels (8x 250 watt panels wired in series with an open voltage of 270 VDC) that start the pump at about 10 in the morning and go until about 3 in the afternoon, with two stops when tree shadows pass across the site. This is the low power test; next week I'll probably splice the pump output into the pipe going another 120 feet up the hill to the gravity tank to the house, which I think it will be able to do if with somewhat less volume.
The pump controller seems robust and well made with the heat sinks not even warm to the touch after running continuously, so I am impressed with the setup and the prospects going forward. I'm building a pump-house box to protect the controller and a small generator.

Excellent Aplicatio for Rural Mexican Village.

As part of our Rotary Water Project in Plan del Vergel Mexico, we upgraded two previously dug wells, one with a high cost electric pump, and the second dug but not equipped with pump. We chose your 1 hp submersible pump kit--knowing the design to be simple and reliable in rural areas. We picked up pump at your factory and installed it a week later. We just need more sunshine (have added generator now). Working great and our volunteer Rotarian with limited experience installed it. Your staff were excellent in answering all of our questions. Need a second kit now to replace high cost electricity.

Thank you RPS

When you find a company that can be trusted to provide a quality product and stand behind it with knowledgeable service you want others to know about it. So I’m writing my first on line product / service recommendation.
RPS is one of those companies. They understood what we wanted to accomplish and provided everything that was needed with easy to understand instructions and all of the parts labeled as to what attached to what. On top of that they stood behind their product by answering our questions as we installed the total solar package and everything worked as it should.
You just don’t get better than that. Thank you RPS

3hp System!!

Before RPS, I had no idea you could easily run a 3hp pump off solar. Others told me I would need to spend upwards of $10k+ for a large inverter. With this system I saved many thousands of dollars and was able to set it up myself. Thanks RPS!
